Blythe Orchard offers self-contained and self-catered bed and breakfast accommodation. The ground floor facilities include parking for one car, entrance via small kitchen, shower room and large studio bedroom. A patio door from the studio opens out on to a private patio and the owner's large garden beyond. We aim to cater for the needs of all our visitors but we suggest that visitors permanently confined to a wheel chair contact us to discuss specific needs. Pre-Arrival

• You can contact us by phone or e-mail (details below).
• There is a bus stop at the end of Blythe Way (2 min walk) with a frequent bus service to and from Solihull.
• Solihull Station is a 5 minute drive away (20 minute walk).
• . International Station is a 10 minute drive.
• There are two Shop-mobility schemes in Solihull (Touchwood and Mell Square).

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• There is one designated car parking space on the tarmacadam drive.
• There about 14 paces from car park space to the front door of both the studio and main house.
• The drive is well lit at night.
• Assistance with luggage is always offered to all guests.
• Service dogs are welcome. 
  

Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area

• The front entrance is accessed from the front drive.
• There is a step (12cm high) directly into the kitchen.

Studio Room

• The studio has a double bed sleeping area and a living area. There is plenty of space between all furniture.
• Door access to the corridor (and shower room) and patio. 
• The room is carpeted.
• The room is strictly non smoking and non-feather bedding is used.
• Flat screen TV/DVD with remote control.
• Wireless internet access.

Shower-room & WC

• The shower/toilet room is accessed from the corridor connecting the kitchen to the studio room.
• There are 14 steps from the bed to the toilet.
• There is a pedestal wash basin, shower tray cubicle and toilet. The shower tray step is 28cm above the floor.
• Wheel chair movement may be limited. 

Self-Catering Kitchen

• The kitchen is accessed from the front door with a further door leading into the corridor.
• Standard work top and sink with large mixer tap.
• Storage cupboard at head height.
• Microwave oven at head height.
• Vinyl floor and spot lighting.
• Floor standing fridge.
• Internal door bell to contact owners if needed.

Grounds and Gardens

• Visitors are welcome to sit or walk in the garden.
• The garden is mainly laid to lawn with a small pond. It is accessed from the patio door via doorstep (14cm), patio step (11cm) and then down a short grass slope.
• A carer should accompany visually or physically impaired guests due to uneven surfaces, pond, prickly shrubs etc.
• Service dogs are welcome to use the garden.

Additional Information

• Service/guide dogs are welcome.
• Fridge available for medications or special dietary requirements.
• Please let us know if you have any particular dietary needs for breakfast e.g. gluten free bread.
• Good mobile network coverage.
• Strictly no smoking.
• Owners can be contacted via internal door bell for advice or in an emergency.
• Smoke alarms installed in kitchen and studio.
